I will be thankful to you if you please kindly help me in this aspect as ‘one world essay’ is quite a new topic for me, and really debatable issue.

As a member of the Board of Trustees for an IB School (PY, MY, DP), we are trying to draft an “elevator speech” for a short description of IB to those unfamiliar. The administration and those involved have a deep understanding of all IB encompases, however we are having a hard time condensing the true essence of IB in a simple clear mannar. Parents are often asked by peers who do not attend our school “what is IB?” and we are looking for the best way to describe it without going into too long of a dialog.
Any suggestions?

Dear IB Diploma Teachers,
I am a Li Po Chun United World College IB alumna now finishing my masters degree in Peace Education from the United Nations mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica (UPEACE). As a part of my final research project, I designed a survey to evaluate the level of integration of peace-oriented materials and pedagogy in IB schools as well as to tailor any resulting peace education recommendations directly to the needs and interests of IB school teachers.
Teachers of all IB subjects are kindly encouraged to contribute to this research project. All respondents can sign up for a copy of the report and participate in the IB Amazon Raffle for a free gift certificate.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at:

The IBO and Peace Education: In general Peace Education aims to nurture in students peace and conflict studies related knowledge, as well as skills, capacities, and attitudes conducive to peacebuilding and non-violent conflict resolution. The IBO´s strong dedication to Peace Education is demonstrated in its 2005 report to UNESCO on the UN Decade and Action Plan for a Culture of Peace and Non-violence 2001-2010.
All your help is greatly appreciated!
Most sincerely,
