Soooo …. IBO loses its bid for governmental endorsement of IB in public schools in the UK but “wins” in socialist Equador where the per capita income is under $5,000 a year. What an accomplishment!

This looks more like a Jim Jones cult meeting than an educational conference. Did IBO pass out the Kool Aid before or after the drummers? ;-)

After watching this, no Patriotic American can support IB in their school district. Where is U.S. History?? Why support tyranny? IB = UN Marxists and Socialists. No thank you.

    Hitlers youth

Agree with “Hitler’s youth”. South Lakes High School in Reston VA, where my son used to attend is an IB school. The students at South Lakes (going back about 4-5 years) performed that exact same percussion concert

What does the word “education” mean? does it mean subtle guidance toward belief in single world authority? That’s IB

Now I ask, has anyone to include the school boards given the cost of IB any in depth consideration? According to the Ozark High School IB consultant the cost is not important. The destination is not really the goal but rather the trip is the goal. This is the analogy that Dr. Jane Reed (Ozark High School IB Consultant) explained to the Ozark teachers and the Ozark School Board in regards to obtaining an IB Diploma. “The Point is Not the Point” explained Dr. Reed, when asked about how many IB students receive an IB diploma versus the tax dollars spent. She maintains that students that participate in the IB program, even if they don’t earn the IB diploma will be better prepared for college than those students that are not involved with IB. Yet no one can provide any statistics to verify this claim!

Talented kids! Love the percussion! 3rd annual?? Thought they had more? =

What positive impact has IB made? 1300 attendees? Small turnout!

IB Career related certificate? What nonsense is this? A career related education? ALL diplomas are career related! IN Today’s world, you don’t get a job unless you have a high school degree at a minimum.

IB Answers? 24/7 answers to questions? What questions? 3000 inquiries? Who wants this type education! Time for a book on this socialistic group.

Using technology to increase dialogue? Say what? Oh – tweeting? As if folks don’t know what tweeting is? OOoohhh this is exciting? And streaming video? Oh goodie – a unique experience to see the speakers – how thrilling! Leveraging technology – if they cut the price to attend they would have more attendees and wouldn’t need to reach out using technology!! LOL!

Service in Action and Service Learning – a life choice which advantages the entire community? How? Notice no details just glittering generalities. What excites this guy to come to work every day is his HUGE salary!!
Plumber Elem in D.C> Painting the walls and doors yellow? In Haiti – yellow is the “death” color! Stuffing backpacks? So what is new about this? We do it here in CO all the time! Staples even pays folks to buy and drop off supplies for kids.

The historical significance of the conference? Explore diverse cultures?
World based education? Go outside the US for education? Separates them from the whole?
IB separated you from others! YEAH – it gives you the option for going out of the country? ANY program gives you the option for going out of the country for college – IF you can afford it! LOL!!

A conflict with IB and basketball – she should have stuck to Basketball. If she were any good she would get hired by an INTERNATIONAL BB team that pays around 80K to women who are new to the team! I had AP students who were hired to play overseas!

The harsh reality of IB? He chose AP -they tailor made the experience to fit him. He would fit inside a box – we have to spread the word? IB is a community focused to created global leaders? Hardy har har – bet she doesn’t get a job outside the US? wanna bet?

Thanks to PYP we are moving to another district- I can’t believe how attitudes and behaviors are forced on these kids- This is the role of the family- School is teach my child and give my child a basic education- Global citizens?? Five year olds can’t even spell global much less devote the time to inquire 24/7 on their place in this world-

I am a teacher and I think this attempt by the UN to take over our educational system in the US and indoctrinate our children in world government should be OUTLAWED, NOW!

  • Anonymous

No offense to the kids who did a great job, but it is being used as ‘fluff’ to deter people from seeing through this IBO group…

Ministry of Education? The UN has no right to do this.. education is local in America and the Constitution protects us from this kind of socialist political agenda in our public schools. This is why the US is currently undergoing a patriot revolution…

So far, nothing about skills and everything about values and close-knit ties… sort of like a cult..

Looks like my comment was censored. So much for allowing critical thought on I B

Is it up setting to IB when the obvious is pointed out? That IB’s clear and obvious agenda is to take over and nationalize the education system here in the United States to promote socialism–I find that upsetting. But unfortunately I can’t just censor such a program from my child’s school the way dissenting opinions are being censored here.
A healthy debate is one that allows dissenting opinions to be voiced, even if they upset you.

Thanks to PYP, we are removing our children from public schools. We would rather home school than to have our children learn how bad white people are…and have the program tell my children who their heroes are. I can think of better heroes than Cesar Chavez and Jimmy Carter. Global citizens? I am first and foremost raising caring, honest, hardworking, responsible and self reliant AMERICANS who work hard and can have all the STUFF they can buy without being made to feel guilty for their success.

  • Tammy

I always feel so relieved to hear a teacher speak out against IB. By and large most of the teachers in our district….even conservative ones…have fallen for how wonderful IB is. They refuse to look deeper into the core fundamentals of the program even when given ammunition to arm themselves with knowledge. They won’t even look….
