Graduates from IB World Schools will be convening in Geneva, Switzerland on 26 October 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of IB. Whether you can make it to Geneva or not, join the celebration from near or far by sharing your story.
We are building a global photo and quote wall to display at the event. (Back by popular demand after our first alumni video collage). It’s open to any IB graduate who would like to share their favorite quote, story, or photo from their IB experience.
Maybe you have a picture from your CAS project, or a story about preparing for exams. What was the moment you felt most accomplished? When you received your scores, gave a presentation, or put the final touches on your extended essay? Looking back on it today, what does that experience mean to you? If you have a photo or quote to share about these memories, we’d like to share it in Geneva.
How to share your photo/quote:
Photos:
- Select a memorable photo to send by email
- For each person who appears in the photograph, attach a scanned copy of this consent form.
- Add a memorable quote (instructions below).
- In the email body: your full name, IB World School, and year you graduated.
- Send all items to alumni.relations@ibo.org using the exact subject line “Alumni photo wall” by 5 Oct.
Quotes only:
- Write down your favorite IB memory with a maximum length of 100 words.
- Include your name, IB World School, and graduation year.
- Send by email to alumni.relations@ibo.org using the exact subject line “Alumni photo wall” by 5 Oct.
How can I see the photo wall?
If you aren’t able to attend the event, you can see your quote or photo alongside those of many other IB graduates — just check out our social media channels after 26 October. We’ll share the wall using the hashtag #IB50 on our official twitter and Instagram. (We will send a link to all alumni who send in entries after the event).
Event attendees will include regional and global alumni as well as the IB Board of Governors and other senior leaders. Everyone in attendance is excited to hear about your thoughts and see your memories of the IB program. Share yours and join the celebration.
Legal notice: By submitting a photo you are confirming that you are the person pictured and that you own the copyright in the photograph. You are also giving permission to the International Baccalaureate Organization, affiliates, employees and contractors to use your photograph for any IB’s communication and promotional activities (including on printed and/or digital publications). If the consent form is missing or incomplete, we will not be able to use your photograph nor can we consider submissions after the deadline of 5 October 2018. We reserve the right to exclude submissions from the photo wall for any reason.
