International Baccalaureate Education Conference in New Orleans

The International Baccalaureate Conference of the Americas opened on 18 July in New Orleans. This year’s conference theme was ‘Innovate, Educate, Create’ and gathered 1500 participants. You can follow the conference on Twitter at #IBnola2013 and get ready for next year with #IBDC2014.

The conference is a unique event that brings together educators from around the world for four days of collaboration and discussions on approaches to teaching and learning within the context of an IB education.

The three main conference days are filled with over 100 breakout sessions including conference strands on the Common Core, higher education, leadership, and educational research. The conference’s keynote speakers include Philippe Cousteau, special correspondent to CNN International and co-founder of EarthEcho, Ben Walden, Cristóbal Cobo, and Ruby Payne.
