IB Diploma recipients are automatically admitted into Missouri State University. In addition, IB Diploma students may also be eligible for a scholarship, entrance into the Honors College, and course credits for IB standard level and higher level courses. The Board of Governors Scholarship may be awarded to students who apply by January 15 and hold an IB Diploma prior to enrollment. The scholarship is worth $5,000 for up to 8 semesters for a total of $20,000. In addition, non-Missouri resident students will be waived of any out of state fees as a part of this scholarship.
Admissions to the Honors College may be granted to entering freshman who hold IB Diplomas with an ACT score of 27 or higher. The Honors College allows for greater intellectual opportunities beyond those found in traditional classes. Students may also earn credit for certain standard level and higher level courses with scores of 4 or higher.
