Yaya Lu was awarded the Pride of Australia Medal 2013 State Award for Tasmania to recognise her work in support of quadriplegic assistance. Here, she tells us about the inspiration for her work as well as the innovative software that won her the accolade.
Congratulations to all 2013 candidates from both November and May for their success over the course of the year. Earlier this week, more than six thousand IB diploma and certificate graduates received their results from the November examination session.

Annemarie Bresson is in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at South Lakes High School and will be going to college next year. Among her IB classes is art. “She does very personal work about identity and growing up mixed-race,” says art teacher Matt Ravenstahl.
Eighteen-year-old Arthi Nachiappan recently won a national award in the UK for making a significant contribution to promote international understanding and global awareness. Arthi is a Diploma Programme student at Bilborough College in Nottingham.
